You and your family will always remember that "picture" in their head of the way you looked as you walked down the aisle. It's the thing you've dreamed of since you were five years old. The pictures and the memories will be with you for a lifetime.  This choice can be the most exciting moment in the entire wedding planning process. And with so much to choose from, take your time to be sure to get the wedding gown of your dreams.

You should begin shopping for your gown six to nine months before the wedding. Before shopping, determine the formality of your wedding and your budget. Make appointments with the bridal shops so you will be sure to receive the time and attention you deserve. Discuss your preference in style, color, material and price with the bridal shop professionals.

They can help you select the perfect gown for your ceremony and reception. Make notes  regarding shops, style numbers, and salespeople if you will be visiting several shops. Bring only one or two other people with you when shopping for your gown Too many people will cause you too much stress and confusion. Ask about alterations. Most often there is an additional charge. If your gown has a train, ask how it will be bustled.
